Most recently we have performed renovation and upgrade of a POREBA super heavy lathe TCE 200/230 x 8000mm, for a customer in the steel industry. The scope of the renovation included raising the machine centers to increase the machine capabilities, mechanical renovation of all lathe components, installation of a backlash-free system and high-precision gears in the Z axis, assembly of a new ball transmission in the X-axis, update of the existing carriage with a modern double shelf type toolpost for the tool system used by the client , design and fabricaton of a new ergonomic operator cab, replacement of all motors and drives, installation of a new Sinumerik 840 D sl control system, commissioning and trials.
